Statement of Service for Employers

At Leeds Beckett we work with students, staff and employers to implement our employability strategy and as such we have a dedicated Employer Engagement team whose mission is to provide a range of high quality and cost effective services to employers and organisations that meet business needs and enhance the employability offer to our students and graduates.

The Employer Engagement team support and build relationships with local, national and international employers and organisations to develop employability as a key element of our University identity - ‘opening minds, opening doors.’ The team can help employers to establish and build their organisational profile and brand amongst our students and graduates so that they can attract and recruit the best talent.

Recruitment and advertising services

  • All vacancies are advertised and managed by our University’s online portal called MyHub where employers can submit, edit and manage vacancies free of charge
  • Our Job Shop provides additional search and selection services including shortlisting, pre-selection, payroll administration and reference checking. Further details and costs can be found here

Engaging with students

  • Career Fairs – we run a number of different career fairs throughout the academic year where organisations have direct access to our diverse student body
  • Information Stands – promote your organisation and vacancies directly on campus
  • Employability & Skills Sessions – lead or participate in workshops or guest lectures covering all aspects of job search, recruitment methods or labour market insight
  • Curriculum involvement – we invite you to get involved in our curriculum design and development in a variety of ways, bringing your expertise into the classroom
  • Sponsorship – a highly valued contribution to employability initiatives, for example the annual graduate fair. Organisations benefit from enhanced profiling and exposure to the students and graduates
