What is the Support Report Respect disclosure form?
If you are a student or a visitor of Leeds Beckett University, you can use this form to disclose an incident and access support from a Student Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Adviser within Student Services or disclose an incident anonymously. You can also use this form to disclose on behalf of a student or visitor of Leeds Beckett University. If you are a colleague of the university reporting an incident you have personally experienced, please use the
colleague reporting form.
You can use this current form to disclose behaviours or incidents of bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct (including sexual violence), domestic abuse/relationship issues or any other form of unacceptable behaviour. Completing this form lets the university know that something has happened. However, this will not instigate a formal investigation or complaint.
What happens after my disclosure?
The information in this submission will be received by a specially trained Student Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Adviser in Student Services.
If you choose to access support for an incident, an adviser will contact you (or the victim/survivor if you are disclosing on behalf of someone else) to provide advice or arrange an appointment. Our trained advisers will provide initial advice and support following an incident, help to access specialist services, and explain the options for formal reporting routes. We aim to respond to the disclosure within one working day.
If you choose to disclose an incident anonymously, no contact details are recorded and you will receive no follow up on submission of your disclosure.
All submissions are handled sensitively, and we appreciate you choosing to share your experience with us. In most circumstances, the information you provide will only be seen by select colleagues within Student Services. However, the university may judge that action is required even if you are not requesting any. More information about this can be found below.
Important: this form should not be used to access urgent support.
- Information about accessing support in an emergency can be found on the Urgent Support Page
- If you are on campus, you should contact emergency services on 999 first, then inform Security Services on their 24-hour emergency number 0113 812 3165.
- If you are not on campus, you should contact emergency services by calling 999.
