Would you like to teach English in Thailand? Build a playground in Uganda? Work on a summer school in Ghana? Live with a Fijian Family? Work in schools with Tibetan refugees in North India? Volunteer on a summer programme in the USA? Deliver fun educational activities in India? Or volunteer in turtle conservation in Greece?
Volunteering abroad is amazing, exciting, rewarding, exotic, chaotic, challenging, heart-breaking, heart-warming, mind-blowing and seriously good for your employability. Beckett Volunteers are currently recruiting volunteers for our University Summer 2015 international volunteering projects. Interested?
You can apply to join a team of students and staff working on community or environmental projects from 2 – 7 weeks. You’ll be accompanied by a team leader and have a project manager who stays in Leeds to make all the arrangements and trouble shoots any problems. We will organise flights, accommodation, insurance and pre-departure training and you need to fundraise your costs and a donation to the charity you’ll be working with as well as attending compulsory pre-departure meetings and events.
We even help you with the fundraising and organise a charity abseil every year!
