‘Sound on the Streets’ is an exciting new collaboration between Leeds Beckett University, Students’ Union and the charity Simon on the Streets. It is a busking competition for street musicians in Leeds.

This should be an amazing event, which will highlight the fantastic street music talent in Leeds, whilst raising funds and awareness of Simon on the Streets, a charity which supports rough sleepers in the area.

The competition will be judged by Leeds Beckett University Music Performance and Music Production students and staff, with the grand final being held at popular music venue, Brudenell Social Club, in December, and daily heats running in the Trinity Centre throughout October.

We are running a Brainstorming workshop to pick the brains of Leeds Beckett Marketing students on how to make this event a huge success!

The workshop will cover:

  • How best to promote the event
  • Identifying our target audience
  • What resources and methods can we use to create a buzz around Sounds on the Streets

This will be a great opportunity to work together with an organisation to help develop a marketing strategy. It will be an opportunity to share ideas, learn from others and help a really important cause. Simon on the Streets really want to hear from YOU

Venue: City Campus Student Union offices.
