What should I do if I am ill or cannot attend university?
You will need to contact your Personal Tutor or Student Administrator in the first instance. You can do this by telephone or email and their contact details will be in your Course Handbook.
You will need to state clearly which modules you will be unable to attend and when you will be able to return. If your period of absence should affect a piece of assessed work (for example a presentation, exam, or submission of an essay), you may wish to consider applying for mitigation. Further information is available on our website:https://www.leedsmet.ac.uk/studenthub/mitigation.htm. Please note that in order to apply for mitigation you will need documentary evidence, such as a doctor's note.
