The Beckett Award is an SU scheme that allows you to reflect on the skills you develop and get a formal accreditation for all your hard work.
The award has three levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold, and we will work with you to decide which is the most appropriate for your level of engagement and involvement with a variety of activities. There are loads of ways to get involved, including:
- Leading a society
- Local volunteering
- Becoming a Course, Faculty or Student Council Rep
- Contributing to the SU’s Be Media groups
- Fundraising with RAG
- Running a campaign
The Beckett Award is great for your employability. It’s now more important than ever to stand out from the crowd when applying for jobs post-graduation. The Beckett Award isn’t just a formal recognition of all that you’ve done while at University, but also gives you the experience of reflecting on the skills you’ve developed, so you can really sell yourself to potential employers.
