Assessment centres are often used by graduate recruiters as part of their selection process. They usually involve a combination of exercises and interviews conducted with a small group of candidates, who are carefully observed over a day or more. Exercises can include presentations, observed group discussions and psychometric testing. Psychometric tests often involve measurements of verbal and numerical ability and may also include personality assessment.

Both assessment centres and psychometric tests can be nerve wracking but you will perform better if you have prepared and you know what to expect.
