The English Language Assistants- China programme is a great opportunity for university graduates or students due to graduate in 2018 to gain real experience of teaching English as a foreign language in China for around 10 months.
Placements are available in a range of provinces from Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Hunan, Zhejiang and more.
As part of the programme, You will receive:
- a monthly salary of between 5,000- 9,000RMB
- return flights to China (reimbursed up to 10,000RMB)
- Accommodation provided and paid
- a contribution of 3,000RMB towards visa costs
- TEFL training course (60 hour online course and 2 week course in Beijing)
- Year round support from the British Council and our Chinese partner organisation CEAIE
You do not need any language skills or teaching experience to apply, but should have an interest in China and teaching.
