"As Industrial Placement Students currently at Computacenter we would like to send you some useful tips that you should consider whilst you do your video assessment interview, during the application process.

Top 5 Tips:
1. Don’t read from a script. (It’s ok to have notes to help prompt you, but don’t read word for word what you want to say – you need to be genuine)

2. Dress smart and ensure your background/surroundings are clear too. (First impressions are key, even though we all agree that a dressing gown is much more comfortable…)

3. Don’t forget to SMILE! (We need to see your personality – don’t be a robot)

4. Show confidence, NOT arrogance. (Be confident in your answers, but make sure the way in which you show this isn’t on the edge of being arrogant)

5. Do your research! (Research the company and the role, make sure the employer knows you want the job).
