BIB’s Pub Quiz

  • Time: 6.30pm start
  • Location: The Globe, 54 Howard Street, Sheffield, S1 2LX
  • In the evening, we’ll be setting up camp at a local pub and hosting a quiz night. We’ll welcome teams of four with at least one visually impaired team member.
  • The prize (drum roll, please) up for grabs is a one week internship at our office in the City of London. The internship will only be available to those with a visual impairment. However, all is not lost for other team members as the winning team will also receive a £50 bar tab to celebrate their victory in style and a meal for two. Woo!

Afternoon of gaming

  • Time: 1pm to 4pm
  • Location: The Careers Connect Centre, Hallam Square, Howard Street, Sheffield, S1 1WB
  • Bring your friends, kick back and play some PS4. Projected onto two short throw projector screens which allow you to sit one metre from the screen, we’ll have the classic Street Fighter, Need for Speed or relive your childhood and play Crash bandicoot.
  • We’ll also be bringing along our Oculus Rift so be prepared to venture into the world of virtual reality!
  • Of course, no gaming session would be complete without snacks so we’ll make sure we keep supplies fully stocked.

Afternoon of sports

  • Time: 1pm to 4pm
  • Location: Outside of the Career Connect Centre
  • Come along and take part in sport taster sessions. Activities are to be confirmed, however, they are likely to be football, tennis or cricket.
