WHY SHOULD I TAKE PART?

The Graduate Outcomes survey is the biggest annual survey in the UK. Your responses, together with those of all other graduates who completed a higher education qualification in the last 15 months, will directly impact the future of education for prospective students.

You’ll also be helping us understand the choices that you’ve made since you finished your course and how this reflects the skills you developed whilst in education. This will ensure we’re promoting our courses accurately and help prospective students make informed decisions when applying to university.

WHAT WILL I BE ASKED?

The survey will ask you about what you’re doing 15 months after you left university. It will also ask some subjective questions about how you feel about your current situation and general wellbeing.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY RESPONSES?

The survey is being conducted in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your responses are completely confidential and anonymised before they’re published. That means that anything you say as part of the survey won’t be attributable to you.

Your responses will be used by Leeds Beckett University to evaluate our courses and overall offering, by higher education funding and regulatory bodies and some other organisations primarily for research and statistical purposes, but also in the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority. Your individual answers won’t be used to make decisions about you.

HOW DO I COMPLETE THE SURVEY?

You’ll receive an email from HESA (the organisation that undertakes the survey on behalf of all UK universities) inviting you to complete the survey online. This is the quickest and easiest way to take part, you can access the survey on most devices and it should only take 10 minutes to complete.

You can save your place in the survey, leave and come straight back to where you left off – if you don’t complete the survey in full you’ll receive a reminder. You might also be contacted by phone to encourage you to take part.

It is not compulsory to participate but we hope you understand the benefit that your input will have for the future of education. When you are contacted to complete the survey by email, text or phone you will be able to opt-out. Please email info@graduateoutcomes.ac.uk with this instruction.
