Myhub is the best place to start your search. It’s our own jobs board with job roles from employers we work closely with who are all keen to recruit Leeds Beckett students. We’ll also share details of upcoming events and careers fairs here.

Applying for part time jobs

  1. Write your CV. Remember, your CV needs to be edited every time you apply for a new job. We call this tailoring your CV- find out more at one of our CV sessions. Check out our step-by-step guide here to help you get started.
  2. Need a cover letter? Not every employer will want a cover letter, but it’s a good idea to send one if you have the chance. Here’s some advice on how to write a standout cover letter.

While you’re working in a part-time job role, you’re not just making money, you’re developing key employability skills that all employers want to see. Communication, teamwork, time management are just a few!

So, what are some other ways you can gain experience and build your CV?

  • Skills Hub– take part in a real-life industry project, build relationships with employers and develop your professional skills.
  • Volunteering– develop your skills while giving back to a cause you’re passionate about or get involved with one of our student led projects.
