Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world's largest entrepreneurship festival, recognised in 180 countries which aims to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in every country and community across the world – especially those individuals who feel they face barriers to being enterprising.
This years' Global Entrepreneurship Week returns from 13 - 19 November 2023 and Beckett Student Enterprise are holding a range of events and workshops that we hope will inspire the Entrepreneur within you.
Monday 13th November 2023
Enterprise Drop-In, 11am - 1pm, The Knowledge Exchange, Rosebowl, City Campus.
Come and meet the Student Careers Enterprise Consultant in the Knowledge Exchange at the Rosebowl. Chat through your ideas and hear about the support available to you at Leeds Beckett University.

LBU Careers in collaboration with with LBS Centre for Entrepreneurship & Knowledge Exchange presents: Finding a great business idea!
2pm - 3pm, The Knowledge Exchange, Rosebowl, City Campus
It's common to hear people say "I have a good business idea!" or "That's a good business idea!". For the Leeds Business School's Centre for Entrepreneurship and Knowledge Exchange a good business idea is one thing but a GREAT business idea is what you should be striving for! In this workshop, you'll be challenged to think about your business ideas in new ways and to learn to develop GREAT ideas. Come with a friend or buddy up with a team and be part of this exciting workshop. If you want to explore the world of entrepreneurship, this workshop is a starting point for you.

Making Work, Work for You: A panel discussion of professionals from the worlds of Events and Sports who are working in innovative ways.

At Beckett Student Enterprise we encourage you to think about being Enterprising in your working life, or making work, work for you.
Perhaps you have heard about being 'freelance' or starting a business and would like to hear some real-life stories of people who are doing this right now. Our panel of speakers have all created careers for themselves that are different to the traditional 9 to 5 roles. We've invited them to share their journeys and inspire you when thinking about your career plans.
This event is designed for students of all levels who are curious and open-minded about the world of work.

Global Entrepreneurship Week: You Are Enterprising Challenge Day
9.30am – 4.30pm, James Graham Building, Room 232- Headingley Campus
Open to all students wanting to gain experience and skills with a focus on business development, problem solving and being innovative. Come along to this full day event and work on a real business challenge. You will firstly hear about the challenge and the problem we would like you to solve. Work in small team to undertake research, brainstorm ideas and collate your response. Pitch your ideas and response to your client for the day.
SU Eureka Event: Finalist Day
11am - 2pm, The Rosebowl RB208, City Campus
Eureka is a new competition hosted by Leeds Beckett Students’ Union.
Over October (13 October to 27 October) we asked you to send through your business plans and enterprise ideas. Shortlisting of these submissions will begin on 3 November and a Virtual Incubation period will run from 6 - 10 November. This is where entrants will receive support to fine-tune their pitch decks with the potential of mergering with other similar submissions. At this point, the experts will select their top 10 submissions.
The 10 top projects will be chosen to present to a panel on 15 November where there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!
