When the new academic year starts, finding a part-time job will be a priority for many students. It’s no secret that part-time work is a great way of earning money to help fund your time at university whilst gaining valuable work experience to enhance your CV. Whilst studying you might be looking for a part-time role which may not be in your chosen field or sector but even if the work you do isn’t related to your course or career interests, the transferable skills you gain should help you when the time comes to apply for graduate jobs (even if for some of you this seems a long way off!)

With this in mind, you can’t afford to miss our Part-Time Jobs Fair at Headingley Campus on Wednesday 28th September. Taking place in the Acre Room between 10.30 – 3.30, there will be lots of organisations who want to hire YOU! You’ll have the chance to meet a range of employers and agencies, all with great roles to offer. You can also perfect your CV during the event at our part-time CV clinic.

Click HERE for details of the employers booked so far and full event information. You can also follow uson Twitter @BeckettCareersfor updates about the fair.

As well as coming along on the day, don’t forget there are other things you can do to boost your chances of finding work: - Check MyHubregularly for part-time vacancies - Take a look at our Part-time Jobs careers resource - Make sure your CV is up to scratch and get feedback on it if required
